| Henson Creek Greenway |
The 2004 GIS-Reginal Design Studio provided a series of visions and plans to the M-NCPPC Prince George's County in support of the proposed Henson Creek Greenway. Students, utilizing GIS, created a series of programming inventory/analysis, and site photographic boards to better understand greenway opportunities and issues. The students divided the proposed Henson Creek Greenway into six Vision Plans. Each student explored in detail a focus area that would occur along the greenway. These individual site proposals ranged from stream restoration, LID retrofitting, Art Walks to recreational amenities. Below are links to PDFS of the student's work. The work was prepared under the direction of David Myers, ASLA in the LARC 341 Regional Design Studio Class. We would like to thank Eileen Nivera and Fred Schafer, M-NCPPC for their guidance on the project. We would also like to thank Celcilla Lammers and Carolyn Watson,M-NCPPC for providing direction related to the Prince George’s County Countywide Green Infrastructure Plan.
